Busy Weekend!
We had a great weekend over Easter playing three shows in total.
Friday night at The Harlequin was a good one with a massive turnout, thanks to all who came along. Saturday night we played at the Bateman’s Mill Hotel in Chesterfield, another great venue and top crowd. Then on Sunday afternoon we played at the Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet which was a nice afternoon in the Sun… yeah. Here’s some pics that Andycam took on the Sunday afternoon.

Santa Baby – Our Christmas Single!

At one of our recent cheese and wine parties someone said we should do a Christmas single, there was a lot of wine around to be fair, so at the end of a rehearsal the other week we recorded ‘Santa Baby’.

Club Mirror Awards
The current issue of Club Mirror (the magazine for the club industry across the UK) has a full report of the winners at the prestigious awards event held at the Palace Hotel in Manchester the other week.
The event started with a lifetime achievement award for Peter Stringfellow, then the various winners of each category and finished with some casino entertainment, Darts with Bobby George, a beer festival and The Anything Goes Orchestra!
Must Be The Music – Sky 1
As some of you know we took part in the Sky 1 HD show ‘Must Be The Music’ recently.
Following auditions in Birmingham we were invited to perform at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester for celebrity judges: Jamie Cullum, Sharleen Spiteri and Will Young (Dizzee Rascal was at the Isle of Wight Festival).
We did (we played Sway) and it went really well, some of our friends and family were hanging out backstage with Fearne Cotton and it was all a little surreal!
Anyway we got three yes’s from the judges (the first act to do that!) and some really great comments from them all. We were added to the shortlist for the judges to go through after the auditions were completed, they moved on to London and Edinburgh after Manchester.
About 45 acts made it to the shortlist for the live finals, they then chose 15 acts to take part in those finals and we didn’t make it to that stage. We were really pleased with the positive feedback and comments from the crew and judges through and had a fun (if long!) time during the process.
Jake appeared a couple of times in montages throughout the shows and we were featured (briefly!) playing backstage at the Bridgewater Hall too. There’s a pic below. If we get any images or video of our audition we’ll post it here – you can catch the show on Sky 1 pretty much all the time at the moment as they build up to the live finals and then the big final at Wembley.

Here’s some nice pics from our gig in Rotherham the other week supporting Carers Week. We had a great time, the sound was v cool and even people stopped in the rain to listen to us. Cool.
New CD Launched this weekend! – “Don’t Wait”

We had a fun day in the studio recording some promo stuff and tracks for our next CD. Just the little task of mixing and mastering left then!!
